Membership is the heart and soul of Opus 40.

For almost half a century, Opus 40 has relied on our members to maintain Harvey Fite’s magnificent earthwork, its surrounding lawns, quarry pools and trails, and our historic buildings, including the Quarryman’s Museum and Fite House, the former home of Barbara and Harvey Fite. Your generosity also allows us to curate a season filled with amazing concerts, nature walks, gallery shows, educational offerings, and so much more.

But the main attraction is Opus 40 itself. Six and a half acres of finely-fitted bluestone, laid by hand over nearly forty years by one indomitable artist, who left us with an artwork that defies boundaries and ignites the imagination. 

Although Harvey worked alone, Opus 40 Inc. is a team effort, and when you become a member, you become part of that team. Opus 40 offers a range of membership opportunities to choose from but all members have free access to Opus 40 all year long. You also get discounts on tickets to the exceptional entertainment and educational offerings Opus 40 has become known for throughout the Hudson Valley and the world.
