As we sail past a rainy July 4th weekend into the heart of Summer 2021, Opus 40 is offering a lot of ways to experience nature, art and community. At the heart of our summer offerings are partnerships new and old — ranging from free storyhour with local libraries on July 20 to the resumption of the Sunset Sessions with WDST on July 9 to monthly outdoor movies with Upstate Films to featured vendors on site including Papa’s Best Batch, Masa Midtown, Stockade Tavern & Zora Dora Popsicles…
No partnership is more meaningful, however, than the launch of Ulster Collaborative Arts Events (aka Ulster ACE) on July 10. We are kicking off Ulster ACE week at Opus 40 with a day of free visits where guests can explore the offerings from the fabulous some of the many fabulous arts organizations that help to make Ulster County such a remarkable, lively and nourishing place. The day at Opus will open a week of happenings at participating cultural organizations, including performance, visual art and more. Ulster ACE is a celebration of the rich cultural landscape in Ulster County, including groups of all sizes and with a range of missions and styles. We’re proud to be part of this wonderful network of new and established groups working together to bring the arts to all the communities in our Hudson Valley home.
