Opus 40 is known for its memorable modern country weddings, but our world-famous sculpture park is also available — and regularly used — for other private rentals, including nonprofit galas, corporate retreats, family reunions, invite-only concerts, group tours and family, fashion and artistic photo shoots.
The 50-acre property includes the sculpture park, with meadows, fountains, statues and a remarkable 6.5-acre sculpture, and miles of trailed forest, all surrounded by the majestic Catskill Mountains.
You can host your event in several bucolic locations across Opus 40’s main campus, including the half-acre meadow overlooking our sculpture, which can accommodate up to 400 people, with tents, tables and chairs, a dance floor and buffets/bars; there’s also a small area for cocktails near the outdoor pool and fountain, in addition to a 30-seat screening room, gallery and workshop.
With outdoor lighting and numerous electrical outlets, the site offers resources for full-service catering, multiple bands and speakers, serving areas and a bar.
Our Executive Director, Caroline Crumpacker, is happy to help you plan your event at Opus 40, and we do work regularly with many incredible caterers, tent companies, bars, musicians, inns and B&Bs, and others we can assist you in booking.
