Illuminations with Artist Madison Reyes and New York PhotoBus
Opus 40 is proud to offer a series of evening events that include star-gazing and site and sculpture illuminations with local artist Madison Reyes and his famous New York PhotoBus. Launching in Winter 2021, these intimate events will include quiet music, light installation on the renowned sculpture at Opus 40, and more. Stay tuned for dates and specifics.
Madison Reyes is an experiential artist who is partnering with Opus 40 on evening events, starting at the magic hour of twilight, on site. After graduating from NYU Tisch school of the arts, Madison sought adventure, riding his bicycle from coast to coast across the United States, traveling around the world on a ship, and helping build installations at the Burning Man festival for 5 years. He now runs the wildly popular New York PhotoBus — a mobile photo booth business which creates engaging photo booth, light show and musical experiences with his classic VW busses.
Reyes’ vision will bring a new opportunity for evening programing to Opus 40…illuminating the forest around the sculpture, and lighting the sculpture itself with his remarkable artistry. This will be paired with star-gazing, astrology and more in a series of remarkable events focused on the joys of the early evening and the magic of light and sky. From Sunset to 9 PM.
For safety reasons, visitors can not walk the sculpture during these events and only those over 18 are admitted.
