A Hike for Wild Food
Through the Forests and Open Spaces of Opus 40
Date and Times TBA
The bounty of trees — from conifer needles and the sap of maples and birch to the edible leaves of deciduous trees and the teas and tinctures that can be made from their bark — has historically been undervalued.
Opus 40 provides habitat for a huge variety of such trees, as well as a plethora of edible wild mushrooms.
On our Nature Walks, join expert foragers including chef and author Mallory O’Donnell on instructive and inspirational guides across our property.
Wild food and beverages showcasing autumn’s bounty will be provided. Times and dates TBA depending on Covid-19 numbers in the Hudson Valley.
